  • Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP) | 300 hours

    The Qigong Practitioner training is divided into five progressive courses [40hr Each] that are scheduled over the course of the academic year (typically September — May).

    Each individual course has an online and in-person component (further information on format and in-person location is included on this page—please keep reading). The five core courses are:

    • P4 | Qigong Approaches to Internal Disease

    Additional requirements for MQP Certification:

    *Hours logged outside of classroom as guided independent study.

    **Available as an additional online course (not included in program tuition).

    ***Current Basic Life Support and CPR training from a certified agency and/or professional medical health licensure is required to be certified as a Medical Qigong Practitioner. Fees associated to this external requirement are not included in tuition costs.

  • A single cohort begins each academic year (typically September — May).

    Online courses generally begin two weeks prior to the first in-person weekend intensive. Continuing online classes and are scheduled on a consistent day and time between in-person weekends.

    Online attendance and in-class participation is required for those seeking CEU/PDAs from the NCCAOM.

    Certification requires attending ALL live in-person intensives in addition to successful completion of all other program requirements*

  • Designed for the practicing healthcare professional, our Medical Qigong Certification training is also available to those who aspire to practice the energetic healing arts—and are ready to take on that responsibility with earnest commitment.

    Our methods are principle based and emphasize practical application—making Medical Qigong both an excellent stand-alone modality or enhancement to any clinical practice.

    There is no specific prerequisite for this training beyond an interest to learn and a dedication to practice and study. However, students entering the training without Chinese medicine backgrounds or other healthcare licensure will likely need to take the additional adjunct courses (TCM theory, BLS/CPR) listed in the “Program Overview” above. These can be taken concurrently with the MQP courses and are not required for admission into the program.

  • Online training sessions are 2 ½ hours in duration and follow a set once-a-week schedule for ease of planning. Students can attend from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. However, we do expect our students to treat the virtual classroom with the same respect as an in-person classroom. Online sessions are recorded (see Online Access above).

    In-person trainings are conducted as intensives and students should plan for an 8:00am — 6:00pm daily commitment (daily schedules may be fluid, and will include appropriate breaks, etc.).

    All in person training is held in Carbondale, Colorado USA.

  • Admission to the training is application based.

    All applications must include a tuition deposit for consideration (see below)*

    Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed in the order in which they are received.

    Once your application is received and reviewed, an interview with our master instructor will be scheduled. This provides you the opportunity to ensure that this is the right program for you!

    Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain the highest level of integrity and quality of transmission, and to ensure personalized attention and instruction to you as a student.

    You are therefore encouraged to apply as early as possible as enrollment is closed once course capacity is met.

    Applications received once courses are enrolled / commenced for the year will be deferred to the next cohort.

    *A tuition deposit of $1200 is required for your admission application to be reviewed and the subsequent enrollment interview to be scheduled. Upon acceptance into the program, this deposit is applied to your tuition due and is then non-refundable. Should you be denied acceptance into the program, or you elect to withdrawal your application at the time of interview, the deposit will be returned less a reasonable administrative fee.

  • The online components for each course consists of both weekly live webinars as well as video content and support material. Online training begins two weeks prior to the first in-person training dates.

  • Each in-person intensive is limited to a maximum of 20 students to ensure quality, personalized instruction. Apply early to guarantee your seat in the course.

The Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP) Training Courses

The 300 hour MQP program is broken down into five individual courses, each comprised of online and absolutely crucial in-person experiential learning.

  • 35hr. NCCAOM PDA / CEU

    The first course of the MQP Program provides foundational understanding of Medical Qigong therapy and serves as a framework for progressive energetic development.

    You will be introduced to practical applications that promote health and vitality of body, mind, and spirit. The entry point of the Certification Program, P1 provides students with profound shifts in awareness, understanding, and health.

  • 35hr. NCCAOM PDA / CEU

    The second course builds upon the training of P1, introducing detailed assessment parameters as well as further exploring the potentials of both Qi emanation and perception.

    Shéngōng (神功) techniques are taught to foster advanced skill-sets while facilitating the expansion of student awareness. The basis for clinical methodology is established in this course, providing you the confidence to work with others in personal healing.

  • 35hr. NCCAOM PDA / CEU

    The third course examines principles of Medical Qigong through clinical observation and assessment of energetic pathologies.

    Training includes skills of Qi extension, vibration, and advanced Qi emanation techniques. Medical Qigong Massage, tissue regulation, sound and color projection, theory, and application are explored.

    Emphasis is given to establishing a clinic, with an understanding of the practical and ethical considerations as a Qigong Practitioner.

  • 35hr. NCCAOM PDA / CEU

    The fourth academic course of the Practitioner level emphasizes the understanding and assessment of internal disease patterns as they manifest within the systems of the body.

    Protocol strategies, prescription exercises, and meditations are taught through the lens of Medical Qigong therapy. All previous material is profoundly enriched with the addition of depth building Nèigōng (内功).

  • The culmination of the practitioner level, this course includes written and practical proficiency examinations, clinical theater, and supervised clinical components.

    You will receive direct feedback, working within the classroom and clinic, to achieve the skills and confidence necessary to successfully establish a clinical practice.

Carbondale Colorado lies within the verdant setting of the Roaring Fork Valley, at the base of the beautiful 12,966-foot Mount Sopris.

At 6,181 ft. above sea level the valley enjoys diverse ecosystems, access to true wilderness, and serves as a visual and energetic inspiration to re-creating and personal growth.

The location for the in-person trainings—True Nature Healing Arts—is an intentional sanctuary providing the setting for connection and transformation.

The facilities include elegant spaces for your classes, an onsite organic café, and a one-acre garden for outdoor practice, time for respite, and self reflection.

Getting & Staying Here

Once you’re here, everything is within reach. Carbondale is a small mountain community that is well appointed with options for lodging and food. Walking and bike paths offer easy access to most anything you will need during your training here.

Airports—and estimated drive times—in and near the Roaring Fork Valley:

  • Aspen (ASE): 30 min.

  • Eagle/Vail (EGE): 50 min.

  • Grand Junction (GJT): 90 min.

  • Montrose (MJT): 2—2.5 hr.

  • Denver International (DEN); 2.5—3.5 hr.

Other transportation options such as bus and train service from Denver (and other locales) help connect Carbondale with the rest of the world.

Local lodging options include hotels ranging from budget to boutique, private rentals, cabins at local hot springs, bed & breakfasts, and numerous camping opportunities for those inclined.
