Anyone studying Chinese Medicine should know this information—particularly students of Qigong 气功.
Much of the practical theory and essential knowledge that makes Chinese Medicine so remarkable is noticeably missing from most Qigong educational programs.
The theory between TCM and Qigong share common ancestry, yet there has been significant divergence over time.
TCM has been divested of the arcane and esoteric, and conversely much Qigong has been denuded of its grounding in logic and theory.
As a Qigong student, studying TCM completes the Chinese Medicine picture.
This is a beginning theory course designed for the student of Qigong & Medical Qigong practices. If you are completely unfamiliar with the concepts of Chinese Medicine and / or Qigong feel free to reach out and ask if this course is appropriate for you.
Why TCM Theory For Medical Qigong?
Chinese Medicine Made For Qigong Practitioners
Chinese Medicine has a history spanning thousands of years.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a 20th-century term (yes, really!) that’s indicative of the cultural changes that occurred in modern China.
TCM is largely a distillation of what was strictly quantifiable within what was otherwise believed an arcane and even archaic medicine.
Where Qigong theory embraces the empirical and esoteric, TCM values the theoretical and objective approaches to understanding.
This course bridges the gap between Chinese Medicine theory and Qigong principles.
Why Do I Need This Course?
While the theory between TCM and Qigong share common ancestry, there has been divergence over time.
TCM was divested of anything considered esoteric, and conversely much Qigong has been denuded of its grounding in logic and theory.
As a Qigong student, studying TCM completes the Chinese Medicine picture.
One without the other is only a partial education (like yin without yang or vice versa…).
Studying the theory is key to understanding the detailed diagnostic skills that are necessary for someone practicing Qigong to become an actual—and competent—Medical Qigong Practitioner.
