Insight Qigong® Teacher Certification | 350 hours
This training is currently offered only once every two years*
The curriculum core is presented as six in-person immersive modules. The first five in-person immersive are three days each, the sixth immersive is four days long.
These modules are scheduled over approximately 6-8 months to allow for ease of access, new material integration, and continuity. The modules are:

Additional requirements for MQP Certification:
60hr Teaching Practicum*
CPR / BLS For Healthcare Professionals***
Monthly online support sessions where you will interact with your cohort of teachers-in-training and the master instructor are scheduled between in-person modules. These provide vital guidance and help keep you on track.
60 hours of practicum teaching (required in addition to modules and online sessions) provides direct experience and applications of your training.
For those without the previous background, the adjunct theory components are offered as online courses (live webinars) allowing flexibility while providing the most thorough training available.
Upon successful completion of all requirements and demonstration of competency, you will be awarded the 350 hr Insight Qigong® Teacher Certification. This esteemed credential recognizes your authority to teach the Insight Qigong® system.
*Practicum hours logged outside of classroom as guided independent study.
**Available as an additional online course. Requisite additional courses are available at Red Thread Institute as individual trainings (separate tuition costs). This structure is intentional to meet the needs of diverse student backgrounds. Previous training that meets or exceeds program requirements is eligible for transfer credit.
***We take student safety seriously. Current Basic Life Support and CPR training from a certified agency and/or professional medical health licensure is required to be certified as an Insight Qigong® teacher. Fees associated to this external requirement are not included in tuition costs.

This certification program is for those who wish to become preeminent instructors of Qigong.
Learning Qigong and learning to teach Qigong are completely different skill-sets, and this program is designed to provide the most thorough training possible with an emphasis not just on competency, but also of care, safety, and energetic hygiene.
The training perspective is principle-based (focused on teaching) and therefore the skills learned can have universal applications.
Prerequisite:
All applicants must have proficient experience with the Insight Qigong® form to be considered for admission.
This training is to teach others how to teach Qigong. It is not the place to learn a new Qigong form.

Online training / review sessions are 2 ½ hours in duration and follow a set once a month schedule for ease of planning. Students can attend from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. However, we do expect our students to treat the virtual classroom with the same respect as an in-person classroom. Online sessions are recorded (see Online Access above).
In-person trainings are conducted as intensives and students should plan for an 8:00am — 6:00pm daily commitment (daily schedules may be fluid, and will include appropriate breaks, etc.).
All in person training is held in Carbondale, Colorado USA.

Admission to the training is application based.
All applications must include a tuition deposit for consideration (see below)*
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed in the order in which they are received.
Once your application is received and reviewed, an interview with our master instructor will be scheduled. This provides you the opportunity to ensure that this is the right program for you!

Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain the highest level of integrity and quality of transmission, and to ensure personalized attention and instruction to you as a student.

Applications received once courses are enrolled / commenced for the year will be deferred to the next cohort.
*A tuition deposit of $1200 is required for your admission application to be reviewed and the subsequent enrollment interview to be scheduled. Upon acceptance into the program, this deposit is applied to your tuition due and is then non-refundable. Should you be denied acceptance into the program, or you elect to withdrawal your application at the time of interview, the deposit will be returned less a reasonable administrative fee.

The Insight Qigong Teacher Training Overview
The 350 hour IQTT program is broken down into six individual in-person experiential learning. courses, each supported by online learning.

3 Day in-person Intensive | 24 NCCAOM PDA / CEU
It all begins here. Module 1 provides the framework for Insight Qigong pedagogy and practice. Principles of proper structure, breath, and intention are the focus of building a solid foundation. You will achieve a comprehensive understanding of the energetic anatomy, physiology, and theory that are essential points of teaching Qigong.

3 Day In-person Intensive | 24 NCCAOM PDA / CEU
This module is a deep exploration into the form and individual postures—with emphasis placed on the free flow of energy in the body. Consideration of student abilities and subsequent modifications are explored through a detailed analysis of mechanics and desired outcomes.
By the end of this intensive, you will dream in Insight Qigong.

Concepts specific to Qigong and self-cultivation practices are the cornerstone to understanding student development and needs, and are essential tools to the Qigong instructor. Detailed explanation of arcane concepts and practical applications will forever shape your own practice and how you pass that knowledge along.

3 Day in-person Intensive | 24 NCCAOM PDA / CEU
Safety, efficacy, and professional ethics are the focus of this module. Considerable time is spent with laser focus on proper mechanics and energy flow. You will also learn to recognize, manage, and resolve ‘Qi Deviations’ (when aberrant energy causes undesirable or unintended results).
This training is absolutely critical for ANY instructor working with students at any level.

Module 5 illuminates advanced subtle levels within the form and the subsequent applications. As an instructor, this will allow you to work seamlessly with students of all skill levels and ability. Exploration of deep internal energetic training (neigong 内功) and advanced mental concentration skills (shengong 神功) assist in awakening the practitioner’s ability to “see” and sense energy—a valuable and necessary skill in the classroom.
