Qigong Education

Qigong education comes in many shapes and sizes, both here in the United States and abroad. For those students looking for something substantial, looking to dive profoundly into the material, to become genuinely proficient in this time honored art, we at Red Thread Institute have a multi-level certification program designed just for you.

Our extensive and in depth Medical Qigong education program is made up of four progressive levels of certification: Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP), Therapist (MQT), Masters (MMQ), and Doctorate (DMQ).  The Qigong courses are taught in an intensive format, deeply immersing students in the material. Students receive individualized personal instruction with an emphasis on direct engagement, allowing the 'energy' of Energetic Medicine to be a quantifiable and tangible experience.

Small Class sizes ensure individualized attention and thourough training.

Each certification level of Qigong training consists of five intensive course seminars: four didactic and one clinical. The first three levels of certification, (MQP, MQT, MMQ), are scheduled so that students may complete each level of certification within an academic year. Except the Doctorate of Medical Qigong (DMQ), which is a minimum of two years of study beyond the MMQ.

Red Thread Institute’s Medical Qigong education program is designed to teach the theory and practical application of Medical Qigong Therapy. Through academic coursework and hands-on experiential training in our Qigong courses, students effectively learn both personal cultivation and the clinical applications of Chinese Energetic Medicine. Our curriculum is a distillation from multiple medical universities, institutions, and hospitals throughout China.  Originally developed by the International Institute of Medical Qigong and The International College of Medical Qigong, our curriculum is fashioned after the Medical Qigong College at the Hai Dian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing.
